The Hotel Retlaw is an outstanding property! It's back to, or perhaps even better, than it's original grand state. Definitely one of the premier boutique hotels in the Midwest. The quest rooms are outstanding and the food and bar service are a destination on their own. rparks5858
The Hotel Retlaw is overflowing with amenities, class and elegance. I have stayed there for personal and business purposes. The rooms are wonderfully done and I enjoyed a great night's sleep after some long days. You will love the finishes and attention to detail at every turn. The staff accommodated our every need for our business meetings and closing out our days with dinner at Jazzmine's was an absolute delight. Live music, superb food, specialty cocktails and alluring ambiance all work together to create the ultimate staying experience. Be sure to make time to visit the spa and salon located on the property! Michael S
I came here with friends and immediately felt like l was in a big city- the restaurant feels high class and the service matches that. I had the chocolate duck and it was so good I went back to the restaurant within the same week! Will definitely be back again. The live music and ambiance was great! Nitesh
I travel a great deal for my work and I have been fortunate to stay in many very, very nice hotels. Pure happenstance brought me to the Hotel Retlaw in Fond du lac, WI and I was stunned by the ambiance, the rooms, the quality of the towels and bedding, but most importantly, the service. These people have been very well trained. I would compare the Retlaw with the Peabody, the Pfister or the George hotels. True classics. Corey Simonson
I just went with a few friends to the new Retlaw Hotel in Fond du Lac, WI recently. I must say, I enjoyed their cocktail selection and the bartender was exceptional at crafting drinks! I did not get a chance to try the food but the smell was enough to make me want to return for a nice dinner. Andy
This is a unique hotel and like others said...a wonderful surprise. I’ll add pictures of the Christmas tree. The lobby is like you step back in time to the Gatsby period. The rooms are thoughtful. Wireless charging pads, robes, a tv that appears from the credenza at foot of the bed. Bathrooms with legitimate luxury in amenities. I’ve stayed at 5-star Ritz and four seasons plus boutique properties around the world. This however is special. Very special. Brandle S
My family happened to stumble into this gem for brunch the morning after our big reunion. Walking in with around 18 people, we were still welcomed with a smile. Jvalencia08
The ambience and decor of this travel gem, were well matched by the in-house dining and local charm. Loved our stay. A great Central hub if you want to explore locally or close-by breweries, sporting events, or cultural locals. UnKulMunki
Second visit, wonderfully redone hotel downtown Fond du Lac. Rooms great, TV sinks into foot of bed, nice bathrooms. Great restaurant. Also, bar and coffee shop. Soon to open Pub coming as well as Ale House opening across street, Spa and pool open soon. Great staff. music in evenings. Extremely pleasant at a great price. Covered parking with short covered walkway to Hotel. Dexmorris
This place belongs in a big city somewhere. I can’t believe the poshness to location ratio! I wish there had been more options to see the “haunted” cellar, etc. (which I would have gladly paid for) but alas, had to settle for a fancy room, great sleep, at profoundly competitive prices, compared to big chain hotels in the area. I can’t wait to return for other business trips. Jim E
The best room I have ever stayed in. Comfortable, roomy, bathroom exceptional. I have stayed at this hotel for business twice this year. Both times I have been super impressed. It is just a beautiful hotel. wseaman2019
Beautifully renovated hotel. From the time we walked in until we left, it was a great experience. We enjoyed drinks at the lobby bar, listening to the piano player before dinner. In the morning I had a latte in the Espresso Bar before heading to the spa for a relaxing massage. You will not be disappointed! RachelPM
Super elegant hotel! The rooms are spacious and uber comfortable! It will be hard for you to get out of bed. The town has fun businesses to explore but it seems like a failing town. Most businesses (maybe half) are closed which is sad but the people are friendly and you can definitely find something fun to do. Great hotel!
I visited a friend from the area and stayed in this hotel. Everything was of superior quality and you couldn’t beat the value offered by brand new amenities at this price. The staff and rooms were all hallmarks of a premium experience. georgefrancismurphy
Beautiful rooms. Very friendly staff. Extremely satisfied! Historic building in the downtown area with the charm but rooms asses all the comforts of a 5-star room. Exceptional service and very high standards to satisfy guests. Sharon A
This was a shocker. From the floor in the lobby to the 1920's style furniture. It was like stepping into the Twilight Zone. The rooms were amazing with TVs coming out of the bed frame- furniture and lighting were all detailed to look like a 1920's hotel. Best value of ANY hotel I have EVER stayed in. Staff was awesome and wanted to be there. The renovation is tremendous. 5 days after the visit and it is still on my mind.
Simply amazing….Love this place. The decor was fantastic, food was great, and the feel was spectacular. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will be staying here every time I'm in town. ostmannd
My husband and I stayed here the first night of our vacation. It was a beautiful experience with great service, food, and a bed so comfortable you didn’t want to leave it. Given the prices charged at other hotels, we will now look for uniquely decorated hotels like this one and hope to find others that provide such a wonderful experience. Maureen B
Beautiful renovation! Wonderful wedding venue! Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Food was fantastic- must try the pumpkin waffles. Photos of the wedding in lobby and public areas were beautiful!
Stayed at the Retlaw for only one night. Originally reserved a double queen room. Upon arrival, we were notified that there was a heating issue with our room so they upgraded us to a single queen suite, and included in an extra twin bed. The Suite was huge! Two full bathrooms (neither had a tub, so shower only), a living room (with fireplace), and a beautiful sleeping room. The queen bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on (we ended up just sharing a bed, mother daughter here), and at the foot of the bed, a 43 in tv comes out. The hotel also offers a spa and a salon. Second floor has a ballroom. Also, a lounge bar/restaurant off the lobby on the main floor. A cafe and wine bar is also offered. The look and feel of this hotel is 1920s. MomOf2
